Manchester St. Patrick’s Parade Loses Two Beloved Grand Marshals

It’s been a tough month for the St. Patrick’s Parade family. Since July 4th we’ve lost two of our beloved Grand Marshals, Al Heidenreich (2017) and Dick Phelan (2023). Our sincerest condolences go out to the families and loved ones of these wonderful men who meant so much to the community and to the parade.

Slán go fóill mo chara – Goodbye friends. 💚🍀💚

Calling hours for Dick will be held on Thursday, August 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, August 2 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by interment at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.

A celebration of life for Al and his wife Barbara (who predeceased him by three weeks) will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 1 to 4 PM at the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post #2.

“Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.”
